Maybe I don't need to plant the carrots quite so thick. :) I think I pulled up 90% of them to get them spaced 3 inches apart.

When I mentioned how overgrown my garden was, my brother mentioned that there are currently 15 and a half hours of daylight. I wasn't out there that long but the last two days I have been out there at about 7 AM for a couple of hours, break, then another couple of hours before lunch and again in the afternoon and evening.

Not this evening, I was out for a while then heard the thunder and then the rain. It's now a couple of hours later and it is still raining.

It weeds much easier when the ground is wet. Yesterday I started weeding before I ran the sprinkler, didn't work so well.

I did manage to make rows out of the small veggies and onions. The corn isn't all weeded yet but that isn't as big of deal. But I do still need to trim the corn to two stalks per hill. Not sure why, but that is what I do. Where the moles are that isn't an issue, not sure if there is enough corn to cross-pollinate. And it is too late to plant more corn to make up for that week, it would have to be 45 day corn.

Plan on taking the fence down around the strawberries tomorrow. Need to at least eat what is ready when we are home. Enough of it is going to be ready when we aren't home.

Should have planted more sunflowers before the rain. For some reason things seem to grow better if the rain is right after they are planted vs being planted right after the rain.
