2025 09 27 - After two another weeks gone

Deer tracks in the strawberry / now weed patch.

We were gone another two weeks and when we got back we could see that the deer must have decided to change their diet. Deer tracks every where and lots of damage. On the strawberry patch I only have a fence that is three feet high to keep the rabbits out so that would take a whole new set of fence wire and posts to re-do that area.

Most of the strawberry leaves are eaten off.

I was assuming that all the damage was from the deer, but this picture shows a lot of green maple leaves also. It had hailed long and hard a few days before this and my neighbor gardener said they had a lot of garden damage from the hail. It was only pea sized so it do any building damage but our lawn and driveway were covered with leaves so it may have done some other damage also.
