This is what is left of at least two of the egg plants. So far this is the only things that have been eaten on.

4th, 5th, 6th, 7th plantings of corn are up. Only the corn that I planted three days ago isn't up. Also some of the flowers are coming up. As are the carrots, peas and beans. Didn't see any beets yet today.

It was supposed to rain most of the weekend so we decided to stay home. So far we have gotten about 1/10 of an inch on Saturday. I looked at the future radar a few times today and the yellow, orange and red would be heading our way and then disappear before it got here. Looks like some places were getting rain ... had to go out to WY to see snow :)

When I told my wife that I had hauled out last years produce, she reminded me that there was one more box that was not with the others. So what was pictured was not everything.

A few years ago some milkweed started growing next to our fire pit. It wasn't easily gotten with the lawn mower so I let it grow. Some years the leaves would get nipped by the heat but they always survived. So far there are 11 plants this year. I think there were three last year. And I tried planting some of the seeds that didn't blow away over the winter. I also tried planting flowers in the ash. Not sure how that is going to work. There wasn't any dirt in the first six inches.

I'm still trying to come up with things to fill my yard with so I don't have to mow. We did walk past one of our neighbors who has all 'wild flowers,' no grass. But they are on a pretty steep hill so I don't think anyone is going to complain.
