Last year when it was going to freeze, I pulled up the my only pepper plant that still had peppers on it and laid it in the garage. A few days later I looked at it and almost all of the peppers were gone off of it. Some were laying on the ground and I thought they had just fallen off but there should have been more. There were, when I was raking the straw off the garden I found them, mixed in with the straw. The mice must have dragged them there. These were hot peppers so not likely they ate any.

Looked online at our local seed store and their last update was that they were closing June of last year. Drove past and the windows are all papered over. Didn't look quick enough to see if the green houses look like they are in use. No sign counting down the days yet.

Frost still on the windows in the AM. Not sure if I will try starting anything indoors this year or not. They used to make little wax paper covers to put over plants, I haven't seen any of those for years.
