We spent time last weekend driving and looking for a pop-up nursery that had onions. Nothing. Those little green houses people put in the parking lots for a few weeks just carry a few basic veggies and mostly flowers.

I'd found a couple of places on line that looked promising but first I stopped at a place called the 'Green Barn,' near where I grew up. Above is what they had.

AFTER I paid, I turned to go and saw all the packaged seeds. But I didn't go back into line. I'll get more flower seeds next time we make it to the grocery store.

I think I saw 3 customers out of about 30 that was wearing a mask, plus a few of the staff.

Last weekend we were out for a walk in WI and saw about 100 people and the only person wearing a mask was a kid about 10 years old who was with their parent.

I was looking for about 10 more Walla Walla plants and 20 more Candy onions. Haven't counted the Candy ones, but there were 104 of the Walla Walla. That changed my plan for what goes where in the garden. I did get them all planted, but not all inside the fence.

Even inside the fence I had to start a second row of each. To stay far enough away from the pea fence, I planted the onion rows only one foot apart instead of the usual two.

It was supposed to be raining by now, instead the rain chance has been changed to 10%. The rain chance does go back up to 100% again tonight.

Soon ... I get to start weeding :)
