This is what happens when you are gone for two weeks. Two foot zucchini. EIGHT plantings of corn that are now past their prime. Lots of tomatoes.

We had heard that there had been rain, but my rain gauge was bone dry. Yard looked it, garden looked like it hadn't gotten any water either.

I was looking forward to a good meal of corn, more than one if we stay home. Only one planting of corn isn't too big yet. And that planting will likely be ready next week. Wrong two weeks to work??

This year I should have planted corn to be ready into September. It would have had plenty of time to get ready at this rate.

My daughter stopped over and picked some corn and other things last Saturday but didn't put a dent in anything. Egg plant are bigger than this zucchini.

Not sure what is happening on the end of the garden by the compost. It isn't competing with anything, but nothing is doing well. That Egg plant is all but dead, the squash now has it's second squash on it and it is maybe six inches long. Bell peppers are doing OK, but none of those are ready.

All four tomato plants have ripe fruit. Need to get those picked. Not sure what to do with them either.

Good news is the weeds haven't grown :)
