So I picked the stuff off my vining plants. We have picked watermelon before, this is what is left.

This is the first of the acorn squash. I was out after dark with a flashlight so I think I may have missed a couple of them. The other squash plant was only about 4 foot across so that one I covered with plastic.

Forecast is for temps in the 30's the next four days and then back up into the 40's for lows for a week after that.

One year I left the stuff in the ground until after the ground froze. I hadn't expected it to freeze that hard and had to bust the frozen dirt off of the carrots, beets, etc.

Didn't think about it before hand. I have a bale of straw out on the farm that I need to pick up and cover my strawberries. So this blog is winding down for this year, still some stuff to do but not much.
