Done ... for now.

These peas aren't anchoring to the fence very well, but they are growing good and starting to bloom. Lots of things are starting to bloom. Peas, beans, squash, tomatoes.

Including what I had left for flowers and it turns out to be cockel. It's a weed I hadn't seen in my garden but can be a real pain in hay fields for a farmer. I'll let it bloom and then pull it.

I'm done weeding except for the berries. I took the fence down from around the strawberries this AM and used the posts to hold up the tomato cages.

Then I spread fertilizer by hand and worked it in with a cultivator. Hoping that will also loosen up the ground where I have been sitting pulling weeds. I am ready for the rain. I would be watering tomorrow AM if we weren't heading out. It doesn't look like rain until Friday and right now it's an 80% chance.

(We are heading on the road for a two day trip. This trip is two days but hope to head out again and be gone over the next two weekends.

When working around home I usually wear 'holy' jeans. But this year I had been careful not to wear then while I was weeding. Forgot a couple of days ago and by evening I was thinking something had bit me on the leg because I was itching. Nope, just the from the sun. My legs swell up from anything over about 15 minutes in the sun. Hands, arms, face do OK.
