2024 09 03 - One still stands

Of the dozens of sunflowers I planted this year, less than a half dozen survived. And only one still stands tall after the last windstorm.


I had had corn planted in this area and as soon as I pick the corn I cut off the stalks. I may get a few more ears from other area's but this area is done. The zucchini is still growing but it is hit or miss if we are here when the zucchini is the right size.


I usually consider the first of September as the frost date so we are close to done for the year.
