This was the total of the all day rain, I'm guessing that half of that came down within an hour.

Haven't had to water much this year. I should start keeping track, at least when I am home. I know that last week we had gotten just over a half inch early in the week and then just under a half inch later in the week ... then a few days later we get this.

It is making the grass / weeks grow. I have mowed my yard more than once a week when we are home. There are years where I have not mowed my front yard after the first of July. During this rain there was water sitting in my yard while it was raining.

I'm not sure if it is the way the street, houses, neighborhood is laid out or what but a few times a year we get enough wind to knock something over. My corn in the other garden was knocked over the other direction earlier this year.

Now I can't get a good picture of the corn here. There are stalks that are waist high and have ears of corn that are less than a foot off the ground. In my other garden most of the ears are waist high where the corn was not knocked over.

Plan is to move the fence in the back and put it around the corn and then I will plant beans to get some nutrients into the soil. Also the fence is up against a stump that I want to try again to burn out. That is what the dirt pile is on the far top right. I have dug out all the weed roots so now it just needs to dry out.
