2024 07 01 - The battle continues

This is my clover patch. I planted it early this spring and it came up almost as a solid mat. But I'm guessing the plant has to have some leaves to grow and between the deer and the rabbits there soon were no leaves.

I've never heard of weeding clover, but I did it. Grass had pretty much filled in where the clover was no longer growing.

As soon as I was done weeding, I re-seeded and put up a fence around half of it. That was the only fence I had left. We'll see if that helps get a good start.

Last weekends work had fell through so we were home for the weekend plus. And the weeds in the main garden are not growing so lots of time to catch up on other areas.

They're back. Potato bugs. I hadn't had any the last few years I had potatoes and then I haven't had potatoes for 2-3 years so I am surprised they found me again. They are only on a couple of plants so far. Hopefully I can keep ahead of them. If I remember.
