Picture: Close up of blue berry bush.

The garden is all ready so now I get to weed.

And by the looks of things, some places I have not weeded for a couple of years. This is a blue berry bush that I thought the bunnies had killed. But once I started weeding around it I did find life. I have already moved the fence so for now the plant has an milk crate over it. Not direct sunlight but it does get both light and water.

My raspberries are what hasn't been weeded for years. And they are what I did not fence this year. The deer/bunnies prefer my blue berries but they will eat what they can get at. Before I started fencing my blue berries in the winter, my raspberries were five feet high. Now only a few stalks are that high, most have been chewed off at about the six inch level.

Once I am done weeding, my plan is to transplant the berries into rows again. In one area the berries have overtaken where I used to mow. In the second area they are growing into my blue berries and general garden. There are also a log of tree/bush plants growing that need to be clipped and dug out.
