Picture: It doesn't show, but this corn seed is now nine years old.

Today we finally got to the green house. My wife was going to stop at one of the bigger ones yesterday and pick up some strawberry plants but their lot was full, their over flow lot was full and the street was full. (And she hates crowds) At that was on a Tuesday.

So instead we waited until mid-day and just drove a mile or so to our neighborhood stand. There we took the last two sets of Candy Onions and the last two sets of Walla Walla Onions. Some years we have been a couple of days later and not gotten any of some of what we wanted.

We also got two tomatoes and two gypsy pepper plants. One zucchini and one watermelon plant. Which is all we went for, for plants. We did pick up a package of pea seed and a package of bean seed.

When we were checking out I asked the price of their blueberry plants. They didn't know and it was the owner. Then I saw a sign for strawberry plants and fertilizer. Their strawberry plants were roots, kept in the fridge. We bought one bundle and see how it goes. And we bought two backs of fertilizer. All natural (?) Cow and chicken. Kind of does smell like it so I rototilled it under as soon as I spread it. And I used a shovel to spread it instead of just my hand like I do the chemical stuff.

I only spread it where I hadn't thrown compost this year so about 2/3's of my garden. Just remembered I did not fertilize my fruits.

Instead of planting when I got home I rototilled the rest of the garden. It is easier on the sand but still work. So at least I am done with one thing. Rototilling.
