Picture: Helicopters from our maple tree. Photo from two weeks ago.

The photo is old, but I finally got around to cleaning out our roof gutters today. When they installed the gutters they said that 'they would come out and clean them IF they ever got plugged' because they NEVER do. I laughed at them ...

So as I am hauling the helicopters from my gutter to my compost, a neighbor asks if I can put up something so that he doesn't get helicopters in their yard. I'm still confused.

The ones I was hauling are mostly soaked and rotting so they are not going anywhere. Anything on the ground is not likely to go anywhere ... the only ones that are going to land somewhere are the ones that come direct from the tree ... trees, there are 100's of maple trees in our neighborhood.

I did say that I would be coving ones in the compost pile. Wife had been out of the house ... and cut down some stray trees and bushes so that is what went on next.

Then I went around and picked up a lot of the weeds I had been pulling. Late June seems to be when I finally get around to pulling weeds.

Could have, but didn't plant any more corn this weekend.

Picture: This is actually from two years ago, but I have been pulling weeds at the same rate this year.
