Picture: This is the first year I have fenced in my strawberries.

I've gotten my garden rototilled. About a half hour at a time. The far end of the garden in this picture has been rototilled but not leveled. IF you look close, you can see three sticks up against the fence on this end. That is where I planted the first of my corn.

I also put straw down this year instead of just leaving the leaves. I had bought the straw a few years ago and it has just been sitting in a bag in my garage. I was surprised the rodents hadn't gotten into it.

The dirt on this end of the strawberries is because I have been pulling weeds/flowers that have been over taking my garden. Not sure what they are called. They stand about four feet tall, have yellow flowers and the bees love them. There were a few next to the compost area on the other end of the garden and when I took down the tree on this end they started growing there.

Last year the bunnies or deer ate so many leaves off the strawberries that we didn't get more than a few dozen berries. Didn't kill them but they didn't produce.
