Picture: Weed piles from the strawberry part of the garden.
I'm off work for a few days so I have finally had enough time to sit in the garden for hours a day. For me it is easier to pull weeks sitting on the ground and an hour at a time seems to be enough. So an hour in the garden and then an hour inside. Then back out again.
Now to give them a few days with water and they should be putting out shoots that I will transplant them to make a new row. This part of garden looks pretty thin. Off to the right there is a patch that didn't seem to be effected by the drought.
Corn is interesting this year. Two plantings of corn in the east garden are not ready yet, and they both should have been ready between 3-4 weeks ago. But hopefully, the next couple of plantings are six plus feet high and they look like they are producing good sized ears. The first plantings were 3-6 inch ears.

Picture: Cut corn. After I pick the ears, I cut the corn down to cut down on water usage.
