PICTURE - Our first watermelon. And it may be our only watermelon. I haven't seen any others or even any flowers. It was good, but a lot of seeds. It was the only one left this year at the greenhouse. I guess next year we go early.
We did get one more blackberry today. Also picked one zucchini, a few tomatoes and a few more peppers.
Rain - we have had rain. 2-1/2 inches overnight and into Friday. 1 inch overnight and into Saturday and now another 1-1/2 overnight and into Sunday. Not going to need to water this week.
I had gotten out and mowed late Friday. Got about half the yard mowed. Mowed the other half tonight. Not a good night. 1st the lawnmower was putting out a mosquito fog, and then I got two close to a septic riser and chopped it off.
Still doing my daily weeding. I'm pretty much done with the first over. Now it will just be pulling the weed or grass here and there. I also clipped some of the small brush / trees that start to grow around the risers and in my berries.

Picture - Deer have to eat too. Now that my sunflowers are tall enough, the deer can just reach over the top of the fence and have a meal.
The deer have also eaten off some of my volunteer eggplant. But it looks like we will soon have some flowers on our morning glories. May be?
Saw the bees busy in my compost pile again today. Then I saw them later on the other end of my garden, so I stayed clear and then they were gone.
