2021 06 27 - Berry good

The plan was to pick berries today.

I picked a few as I walked past.

There are only a couple of blue berry plants with berries on them. Most do not have any berries this year. I think last year there was only one that did not have berries on it. I know my neighbor keeps commenting that he has never gotten any berries off of his blue berries.

There might have been enough to make a bowl of berries, but we forgot to get cream for them. So I just picked the biggest ones and hope the others are still there when we get back.

It rained today.

We had done a lot of running today and my plan was to water the garden as soon as we got home from the last run. There was a few drops on the windshield when we were coming home, kind of like it did most of the day yesterday. I was only in the house for a few minutes when it started to dump.

9/10ths in about an hour. One little orange blob over our town. Came out of no where, went no where. Part of the time the sun was shining . Kind of looked like a cheap movie set. You could see the water coming down, but you could also see the sun shine.

So now things should grow. Everything but the flowers was re-seeded yesterday.

Today we did get some flower seed but I didn't get it in the ground.

I still have not started weeding where the crops are, only where they died and I had to re-plant. So I have hours of weeding left to go.

And I may have time to do it.

Tomorrow we work, but not sure we will get back early enough to work Tuesday. Then Weds AM I have plans but may work Thurs and Friday if there is work.

Then it is the holiday weekend with no plans so likely days of weed pulling :)
