That is where I planted them. Wild flowers should be able to grow wild, right?
The first year I tried to garden I didn't know what I wanted to do so I planted a huge area, 10x this size, in wild flowers. Then when it got about this bad, I started weeding. For weeks. One flower here, one there.
I will likely wait a few more days, weeks, before weeding. Or when I weed, only pull what I know are weeds.
Wow ... since yesterday I found one sunflower growing. I'm not sure if the top is bitten off or not. Can't tell right now.
Today it was supposed to rain. So I finally mowed. And planted some more seeds.
It did rain. And I sat outside working during most of it. I got more wet yesterday from my own sweat than I did today from the rain. The air was wet for most of the time from 1 PM until now (10 PM) but not a soaker. I will water again tomorrow.
I planted sunflowers. All 12 of them. That was all that was in the seed package.
And I planted the last of the carrot seed. I should have done two rows. I just planted all the seed I had in one row so I will have to do a lot of thinning.
Beans, I had enough for one row plus. That is more than I planted the first time.
And I planted all of the flower seed I had. Which is about half of what I had planted the first time.
Between mowing and weeding and seeding I was out another five plus hours today.
I guess my one leg wasn't burnt enough from the sun yesterday so I put on different pants and got burnt in more places today. In the rain? Guess the clouds were not that thick today.
Saw a bunny today, this one was scared. Good. I'd like to keep them that way.
A problem with weeding is now the only things left for the wildlife to eat are the things I want to eat.
Tomorrow, if I remember, I want to pick berries ...
