2021 06 25 - ONE is a lonely number

From a 20 foot row of peas, there is now one pea plant left

From a 10 foot row of beans, there is now 1 bean plant left ... so I know I planted them.

-0- carrots left, -0- sunflowers left.

As dry as the rest of the garden was, I can see why none of these plants made it. BUT it could also be some rodent has found my buffet. All of the items that didn't make it were inside my fence. Most all. A lot of the flowers didn't make it either and they were outside the fence.

As were my onions. About 20% of the onions outside the fence made it and 80% inside the fence.

Today I spent about five hours weeding. One hour at a time, then an hour indoors.

It was mostly cloudy today so I wasn't as aware of the sun. So I got a nice burn through my holy jeans.

My plan is to re-plant on Saturday and then water on Sunday. If it hasn't rained. Now they are adding rain to the forecast. I looked a few days ago and there was less than a 40% chance the next 10 days. Now there is a 60+% chance for a few hours Saturday.

I will keep watching the weather so I get both my planting and mowing done before it rains.
