I try to plant my corn every 10 days, this was 14 days. Maybe I will plant some shorter day corn before we leave on Tuesday?

I also planted some Zinnias and wildflowers. Those two had the shortest days to bloom. They would have been even earlier if I had planted them a month ago as soon as it was warm enough.

11 milkweed are up. I haven't planted any, these are the ones that come up every year. Now I need to do something about the ant's that took them over last year.

... and I transplanted some of the old onions that did not get eaten last year. I had done that last year and they did not produce. If they don't this year I will have learned my lesson.

I still have not found any onion sets to plant. Didn't really leave the house today. It started out raining and then just stayed cold and wet. But the grass is growing so I will likely have to mow again tomorrow.

Carrots are now up, so everything as come up that I planted before.

By not planting potatoes, beats or egg plants ... and planting fewer carrots, beans, tomatoes, squash, etc my garden is still kind of empty. Not sure what I will fill it with. Only one or two more plantings of corn.

I may end up planting more blue berries. I didn't plant any new ones last year. But none died either so that is better than most years.

The black berries are coming back, no growth on the old stalks, all new. Not sure what that means. I might get more strawberries too if we are in town.
