Entry, Memorial weekend

National cemeteries are the easy ones to walk and find graves. For three days now we are mostly killing time. We had to get our work units delivered by Friday and then we are meeting family on Tuesday.

So today we just wanted to get from Sacramento to Gilroy. With a stop in Santa Nella for split pea soup, this was only a couple of miles away.

It doesn't seem like it was that long ago we were taking pictures here but I have added five more people to my family tree that are buried here. All on my Swedish side this time.

This is Memorial day and some area's have small flags by each grave. This area had a single white carnation on each graves. All graves here, so far, are flat. No upright and no columbariums

There was a notice that Memorial day events would be on Sunday, not Memorial day.
