After our 'walk in the park,' we stopped at three cemeteries before heading home from the weekend. The first one was Grue. Today is Sunday and we did not get there until after their services were over.
This is the sign by the parking lot. I am standing at a pedestal with a box on top of it. In the box is a three ring binder that lists all the people in the cemetery and then the grid is on the big sign. So far the person in charge of this cemetery for Find-a-Grave has not entered this info onto the sight. I did take pictures of the family name I was looking for. That was about six pages of people with the same last name. I'm guessing that is roughly half the cemetery.
The cemetery is behind the church down the path to the left. My wife did manage to walk at a state park today but by the time we got to the cemetery she only walked the length of the car to pick some lilacs.
Too many people from my family tree in this cemetery to look for a specific grave. So instead I took pictures of the family names that I could remember. Ended up with 50+ pictures just from this cemetery.

Pelican Lake Cemetery was the 2nd cemetery in Ashby we stopped at. Find-a-Grave does have grid locations on most graves but they are not consistent. Some do not say which section the row is in and each section has a row 1, 2, 3, etc.
I thought I would just be able to find which end the numbers started at and go from there, but that didn't work. I would work if I would make sure everything is in a uniform format before running my report next time.
I did end up taking about 40 grave pictures in two of the three sections.
There is not a directory or grid layout posted at this cemetery. But I am assuming the Find-a-Grave info is accurate once you figure where the rows and numbers start. I was also unsure what was considered a row.
