Picture: Masonic Cemetery - Orland CA
We had delivered in Medford OR and then were able to get south of the snow yet last night.
Today we had some time so we managed to hit two cemeteries before it was time to move on. There were cemeteries both on 99 and I-5, we choose I-5.
This cemetery has only 3,000 graves and has added locations to some of them. We were able to search a marker we saw and then move until we found another grave closer.
We were only looking for one grave marker and were able to find it.

There was not a sign so this just a picture of the cemetery. Today was a weekday and there was someone in the office. We were talking about other things besides this grave so I didn't follow exactly where it was. And the map was of a small enough area that the main road was no on it for a visual point.
Seems some of these cemeteries started out as Odd Fellows, Masonic, church, city and then were merged into one at some point. This location had some very old cemetery maps on the walls.
The person in the office also said that when the railroads were being built. People would die and just be buried. No marker, no record. All they know now is which section was used for those people.
BB and I had to do some walking to find the grave we were looking for. The 'drives' on the map were just wide area's where there were no graves. Not actual driveways. And the first time we walked it, we turned around feet before we could see the wanted grave. I felt we had already walked too far from the drive.
Two was all we have time for today, and all others are further off the interstate.
