Corn

Doing the annual 'knee high by the 4th of July' check.

I wasn't home on the 4th so this is two days later. Unlikely it was only knee high by the fourth. This is my 1st planting of corn. The other corn I planted the same date is outside the fence and is not doing nearly as well.

My goal is someday to be eating corn by the 4th of July. Not sure that is ever going to happen. No matter how early I plant, it still takes the weather to be just right for it to start growing.

The last of the corn is in and up. It is in the bottom of the picture. Last time home I just planted corn where nothing else had gotten planted.

Dropped in town this morning, spent the day at home and by evening we were on the road again.
