Today I got the rest of the onions transplanted plus the first two plantings of sweet corn. I started with new seed and will use up the older seed.

This year I am planning on being more consistent with my planting. I'm planning on planting 15 hills of corn each planting. In the past it was whatever fit in the area. I plan on planting flowers if there are any open spots left over.

Oh, and I planted some garlic also. Most garlic says to be planted in the fall but these packages said either spring or fall so I planted one package this spring and will save the others for this fall.

So today I planted

Corn - 65 day

Corn - 73 day

Onions

Strawberries

I had also spread the last of the fertilizer and leveled the rest of the garden so it is ready for planting.

The onions we transplant come in four packs and usually have 1-3 plants in each section. Those I planted today had up to 30 in one section. I thought I had hit the bonus. Then I realized how much of the garden they were taking up. Now I realize that because there were so many in a package that they were tall and weak. Those onions are all laying on the ground instead of standing up. I'm not sure yet if that will change, if they will grow like that or if they will just die off.

When I bought the strawberries I had planned on re-planting the area where we first planted them. But the milkweed are coming up good this year and I'm not sure why those died off while other area's of the same planting are still doing well.
