2025 07 15 - Weeds

There are still knee high weeds in my strawberry patch.

Not much for traveling this month. It is July and we are usually on vacation for part of the month. But this year, no vacation but still no work. My wife had surgery and needs time off for that and I have to get my DOT med card renewed.

So I have plenty of time to weed. One hour in the garden, one hour inside ... hour after hour, day after day.

Blue berries hanging like grapes.

There will be blue berries for a few more days. This bush and one other have not started turning yet and both have lots of full sized berries. I have looked and they are not the same brand of berries.

As long as I was looking I saw that I planted my first berries in 2010 and my last in bush in 2019. I have 14 blue berry bushes. During that time I was loosing about half as many bushes as I was planting, but since than I have not lost any.

Hopefully I plan ahead enough to plant more next year.
